Yes. RadioApp is free: no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising. The only cost of listening is the mobile data your own connection uses.

Does RadioApp need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. RadioApp operates no backend that could hold a user profile, so there is nothing to create an account in.

Which countries can I listen to with RadioApp?

241 countries. Eight anchor countries — Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Cabo Verde, France, Switzerland and Luxembourg — are hand-checked and shown first. The remaining 233 come from the radio-browser.info community directory and are searchable inside the app.

Does the radio keep playing with the screen off?

Yes. Playback continues in the background with the screen off, with controls on the lock screen and in the notification shade. The app also supports Android Auto, six presets and a sleep timer.

Does RadioApp record or store the audio?

No. The app connects your device directly to the broadcaster's own stream server. It never proxies, transcodes, records or caches audio, and it hosts no audio of its own.

Does RadioApp track me?

No. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier and no profile. Your selected country, favourites, presets and last-played station live in a small database on the phone and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

How does a station get removed from RadioApp?

Email info@radioapp.pt from an address connected to the station. The station is removed from the curated list immediately, before any discussion, and added to a permanent blocklist so a directory refresh cannot bring it back.

What does RadioApp not do?

RadioApp stays a receiver. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking, no podcasts or on-demand content, no recommendation feed and no subscription.

Privacy

RadioApp has no user accounts, no analytics SDK and no server of its own. Almost everything below is a description of data we never collect.

1.0 What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. We do not ask for an email address, a phone number or a name, and there is no login. We operate no backend that could hold a profile of you.

2.0 What stays on your device

The app keeps a small local database on your phone so it can remember your choices between sessions. It never leaves the device and is deleted when you uninstall the app: your selected country and favourite stations, your six presets and the last station you played, and a cached copy of the station directory.

3.0 Who your device talks to

Two kinds of connection leave your phone, both started by you: the community directory at radio-browser.info, to list and search stations, which receives your IP address and your query as any web request does; and the broadcaster's own stream server when you press play, which your device connects to directly — the app never proxies it.

4.0 Crash reports

The app ships without a crash-reporting SDK. If a future version adds one it will be strictly opt-in, and this page will say so before that release ships.

5.0 Children

RadioApp is a general-audience app. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we collect none from children either.

6.0 Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data. As we hold none, there is nothing for us to return or delete: uninstalling the app removes every piece of data it created. Privacy contact: info@radioapp.pt.

7.0 Changes

If this policy changes materially, the app will show the change on next launch. Previous versions remain available on request.

1.0 What RadioApp is

RadioApp is a directory and a player. It helps you find publicly available live radio streams and connects your device straight to them. We are not a broadcaster and we do not host, store or distribute any audio.

2.0 Station content

The content of every stream — its programming, its advertising and its metadata — belongs to and is the responsibility of the broadcaster. Station names and logos are shown unaltered, for identification only, and imply no affiliation or endorsement in either direction.

3.0 Availability

Streams are operated by third parties and can change address, go offline or restrict access at any time, without notice to us. The app tells you honestly when a stream does not answer and offers alternatives, but we cannot guarantee that any particular station is reachable.

4.0 Acceptable use

Use the app for personal listening. Do not use it to redistribute, rebroadcast or publicly perform a stream; do not attempt to capture or record audio through the app; do not automate requests against the directory or the streams.

5.0 Price

The app is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising. You are responsible for any mobile data your listening consumes.

6.0 Liability

The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use, nor for the content of any third-party stream. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

7.0 Governing law

Takedown

If you represent a station and want it out of the directory, we remove it first and discuss afterwards.

1.0 Our position

RadioApp lists publicly advertised stream URLs and connects listeners directly to them. We host no audio and we alter nothing. Even so, a station is entitled to decide it does not want to be listed, and that decision does not need to be justified to us.

2.0 How to request removal

Send one email from a domain or address connected to the station to info@radioapp.pt. Tell us which station and, if you can, which stream URL. No form, no account, no legal template required.

3.0 What happens next

We acknowledge your email within two working days
The station is removed from our curated list immediately, before any discussion
It is added to a permanent blocklist so a directory refresh cannot bring it back
If the request was a misunderstanding, we can restore it at your request

4.0 Logos and trademarks

Logos are displayed unmodified, at small size, solely to identify a station. Ask us and we will remove or replace any logo with a neutral mark, independently of whether the station itself stays listed.

5.0 Wrong or outdated data

Wrong name, genre, country or a dead stream URL? The same address works, and so does the flag button inside the player. Most of the directory comes from radio-browser.info, a CC0 community database — corrections sent there reach every app that uses it, including this one.

6.0 Copyright complaints

For a copyright claim concerning the content of a broadcast, the broadcaster is the correct recipient, as we neither host nor modify the audio. Write to us anyway if you believe a listing itself infringes your rights, and we will act on it.
